KAN Group extends its IFS Cloud ERP system to its Hungarian subsidiary with the support of InfoConsulting Hungary

The KAN-therm system includes complementary technical solutions for the implementation of water pipes, heating systems, as well as technological and fire-fighting solutions. The quality of KAN products, manufactured for more than 30 years, are developed in-house by utilising the company’s own well-equipped research laboratory, but components are also regularly checked by external laboratories.

KAN is Poland’s first and so far the only manufacturer of PPSU (polyphenylsulfone) pipe fittings. They produce high-quality polyethylene and polypropylene plastic pipes, PPSU and PP-R (polypropylene random copolymer) plastic and brass pipe fittings, metal manifolds and fittings.

They also produce thermal insulation for underfloor heating and a wide range of sheet metal products, such as installation cabinets, at their 4,000 square meter production site in Białystok, where approximately 7,500 square meters of storage space is also available. The site’s 7-hectare area provides opportunity for further continuous expansion in the future.

KAN‑therm systems contribute to meeting the ecological requirements in modern construction, with water consumption in buildings being reduced, energy consumption being optimized, with indoor thermal comfort being ensured, while at the same time the provision of healthy, consistent drinking water quality can be guaranteed.

In addition to continuously improving the quality of the products and services it provides, and thereby strengthening its competitiveness, KAN Group also has ambitious plans for geographical expansion, including entering new markets outside Europe and building new factories. Accordingly, in addition to real-time data extraction, advanced reporting capabilities and rationalization of the application architecture, it was an important requirement that the new ERP system to be scalable enough to keep up with the new demands arising from rapid expansion. With IFS Cloud, the company can manage all its business processes with a single, unified cloud-based solution, which is key to efficiency and accelerating the international expansion process. By standardizing processes and improving supply chain management, KAN will be able to respond faster to changing market needs.

The Hungarian implementation – which began in May 2023 – took place simultaneously in several countries, including Poland. At KAN-therm HUNGARY Kft., the processes designed at the parent company were implemented, and InfoConsulting Hungary specialists ensured local legal compliance. The Hungarian implementation mainly affected financials, purchasing, sales and inventory management processes. The IFS Cloud ERP system, which complies with Hungarian legislation, has been supporting the operation of KAN-therm HUNGARY Kft. since the beginning of June 2024 and went live at the same time as the Polish parent company’s solution.

Regarding the implementation experiences, KAN-therm HUNGARY employees highlighted InfoConsulting Hungary’s pragmatic approach. As for the IFS Cloud system, users are already seeing the benefits of the solution, even though it initially took some getting used to, as there are significantly more information and functions available for work processes and reporting compared to before.
