Uthpala Kumara – interview with CEO InfoConsulting South Asia

Can you share the background and context behind InfoConsulting South Asia’s decision to
enter into a strategic agreement with IFS?

InfoConsulting entered into this market as the strategic partner to IFS with a goal to
fuel growth for companies through the use of the best technology and best experts. When
we looked at new geographies to expand into, we considered the huge growth in demand
from the manufacturing and service sectors within the region. This, coupled with the IFS
talent pool in South Asia was an incentive for us to enter into this strategic partnership.

How will this IFS partnership contribute to growth in South Asia?

We haves strengths in a number of core market sectors and South Asia
market has numerous companies that operate in these same sectors. This gives
InfoConsulting the opportunity to leverage on our experience with IFS implementations in
Europe and Australia. It means that companies in South Asia get a head start when planning
their own projects and this alignment helps us deliver better outcomes for customers.

How will customers benefit?

InfoConsulting has always strived to put the customer first. We have been recognized by IFS
customers with the award of the IFS Customer Choice Partner of the Year Award. Our goal is
to learn from what InfoConsulting has done well in other regions and replicate this success
across South Asia. With more than 250 experts worldwide, we have the opportunity to
leverage those skillsets from different regions to drive results for companies in South Asia.
Customers will have that local touch while being supported by a global organization.

In what specific areas or domains do you see the most significant potential for
development and innovation through this partnership with IFS?

Well, first off, IFS Cloud is an evergreen suite of products that allow companies to be more
lean and streamlined. It also cuts down on the cost of hardware which can be limiting for
some companies. We will continue to deliver AI driven innovation across ERP, asset
management and field service management solutions together with IFS. AI gives all of us a
major opportunity to streamline processes and save on costs. Companies will benefit from
predictive insights into the business, improved people and asset performance and greater
influence on customer purchase behavior.

How does InfoConsulting South Asia plan to leverage its cooperation with local IFS
partners to strengthen its position in the market and enhance service delivery?

For the South Asia market, one of the most important services we will provide is localization.
Because we have a strong partner network already in place in the region, we will be able to
support clients with operations in a number of countries. Our partners in the region have
continued to grow and work closely with customers. This in itself leads to more brand
awareness and engagement for both InfoConsulting and IFS. We will continue to collaborate
with our regional partners as this allows us to serve more businesses in Sri Lanka,
Bangladesh and Pakistan.
